Everything is different after 9/11

I just flew from San Francisco to Maryland and back again, through Vegas. There are no three less similar places than these three towns; it's like flying from Gohmorra to the Shire with a layover in Salt Lake City. So the demographic of the people on my plane was rather confused --  prostitutes who enjoy sailing; artists who like to gamble; hicks on the way to their secret gay lover.
